RAYMIE IADEVAIAMEANDERING THE DARK BLUE

June 29 – July 22 | 79a Newtown Lane, East Hampton, NY

Raymie Iadevaia, Meandering the Dark Blue, 2024, Oil on linen, 22 x 24 inches (55.9 x 61 cm)

Meandering the dark blue, flickering days, ominous and tranquil, gently drifting havoc. Nights are brightest when the heat lingers. Tempestuous clouds, the tea simmers, a year of harbingers, birds a chorus of the future. These summer nights, changing tides and windswept horizons provide a backdrop for suspended animation. The glint of failed architecture still provides shelter. While long howls from another day trace a pattern in the wings of flowers floating in golden sunbeams, fluttering and transfixed.
